Once Upon A Super Hero was created as a demonstration of what I could do, both as a writer and as a first time self-publisher. The story of Sovena Lovstok / Sovena Red began forming nearly a decade ago, but it only came to fruition as a filler project while I waited for my comics illustrator wife to wrap up professional committments so that we could work together on our own husband and wife creator-owned stories. I wanted to not only show I didn't have a problem writing a stand alone story, but also that I could have a lot of fun with a comic aimed at an "all ages" readership. The full color 28 page issue of Once Upon a Super Hero is now available for purchase as a digital download via Payloadz and in print via ComiXpress (Released November 19, 2010).
